Boats
They can be used to cross moats
Or tote luggage across the sea
Or used by refugees to flee
To fight in the night
And whence comes morn
They can be used to win the war
Boats
Most can float
And if they don't
They won’t be used
Merely as pieces of art over which people muse
Boats
Now on the news
Scared people think
That they will sink and forever be lost in the drink
Boats
I like boats the most
The best thing since before toast

"The best thing since before toast." Ha! That is such a funny line. Boats huh? Do you have a peticular passion for boats or is it just something that ran across your mind?
Really cool, this story reminds me of cat in the hat, or Sam I am
I love this! I especially love the sounds, and think it would be really cool to hear it out loud. I like the internal rhyme (whose fancy word is 'assonance') of "morn" and "war". I like how it brings together serious topics, like war and refugees, and humor, like "before toast".
