She was running, looking back every now and then, trying to get away. The beast that had taken her father's life was now after her. Trying not to think of that, she turned suddenly and the vile thing crashed against her sword. It sunk onto the warm mud. The feeling of triumph overwhelmed her.

It really drew me in, would love to see what happens next.
I am intrigued. I want to know what the heck is going on though.
I love this is as a "Little Story". It draws us in to a conflict briefly, and we really don't need to know anymore- we get to fill in the blanks ourselves! I was thinking it would be cool to be able to put the words over the image... do you know how to do that?
Also, the word "vile" is awesome.
