War

You head to war, less than a half of a mile away.
The intenseness growing in the back of your
mind, but you are serene on the outer side. Your mind
telling you no, but your heart remembering why you
do this, for your family, and the freedom of your country.
You brake into a run straight to a huge wall holding
the enemy inside. Arrows flying past your face. Friends
falling left and right, but you still run. Your shrill heart
aching as cold, salty tears run down your dirt covered face.
You're at the wall shooting your arrows as you see the enemy fall.

I can really feel the arrows shooting past my head! Would love to see you expand on this one even more.
