Finding her

I recently found an old photograph of my sweet little puppy; it was the day after we got her. She was tiny enough to fit under the coffee table in the main living room. She would have her tennis ball, just laying there and enjoying the attention she was getting. I never really understood the value of her life and how much she made mine better. Until she wasn't there........

She wasn't there to brighten my day,
Welcome me home from a crappy day of school,
To keep me warm and take up most of my bed,
                                              To run with,
                                                                   To cuddle with,
                                                                                            To enjoy the moment with.

Now all I have is her toys, pictures of my sweet little bear cub, and the life-lines that I cling to.

This is really beautiful. I oiked how you did the uniqu spacing, and how you wrote about something personal, and something that I, myself can relate to.

Reading this made me really nostalgic of my old dog I used to have. I love the emotions this brought out!

Wow, that was really good! Its simplicity is amazing. I think to write a sad story simply takes a lot of skill as a writer. You've done exactly this.

This is so sad and beautiful. I can tell you wrote it straight from your heart. I once had a puppy that live freely in my Ranch, until one day we found out he had liver cancer and it was too late to save him.

I am yet to lose a dog and i still know how it feels. Because I've lost family, and dogs can be close as family or more.
