O' Coilean Reviews: Suicide Squad (David Ayer)

Suicide Squad was terrible. That is a popular opinion. I mean, there was the Sky-Portal-Vortex-Thing.

For some reason, everyone gives the most hate to the script. To be honest I can agree. The script was... Well...
It was a

Anyways... I honestly think that the special effects in this movie aren't too bad. Not the best, but not the worst. The characters, while interesting, were vague and shallow. Their motivations were cookie cutter. "Oh you're in jail. You must miss your kid." That kind of thing is the most cliche that they could've thought of. The movie was just a cheesy festival of mundane characters, alright graphics, and bad writing. I personally hope that there isn't a Suicide Squad 2. If they do make that a movie, then DC should get a new director. No offense to David Ayer, but this movie was a 5.75/10 in my book.

You made very good points in this post. I agree with most of them, but I did enjoy watching the movie. I feel it was cheesy, but I did love Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and think they could make a spinoff movie for her. Over all I agree it was not a great movie and the writing was just a bunch of cheesy one liners and not a lot of substance.

I totally agree. This movie had so much potential, but turned into a confusing, plotless mess. Everybody's favorite character was Harley Quinn, but I couldn't stand her. To say Suicide Squad drifted from the plot is to say it had one in the first place.

As well as this movie was fun to watch. I would suggest it as a movie that you watch to learn how to not make a movie.

I think suicide squad could have been better if the bad guy was a natzie hamburger.
