The mountains

High mountain tops
Swerving rivers
Water always leaving
Mountains never swaying
Clouds crawling into the corners
Shadows coming from above
Light still shining out of the ever clouding eyes
And the mountains still staring in
The river may flow and die
But the mountains will only grow
The clouds may cover the eyes once shining with the sun
But the mountains will only grow
The thunder cracks my heart in two
As once blue sky falls to gray
People rush by building dams
But nothing works the clouds have covered and the river has died
The sky is gray
The sun is gone
And the rain falls

Wow! Good job! You're poem describes the scenery really well!

I love the sounds of the rhyming words "flow" and "grow" together, as well as "blue" and "two".

I loved this! It made me want to go camping and it's March! I loved that the ending was kind of a plot twist I would've never expected!
