Secrets and Purity

Liberty
Hope
Fairness
Equality
Values held true across the world
Whether by people like or unlike you
In a world tainted
By greed
By figurative need
There are those who still hope for peace
Who weep for its sake and cannot sleep
There are those who seek freedom
Those who read between the lines
And discover us controlled like docile sheep
The rebels
The whistleblowers
The "justified" hackers
All of them
No mercy
No quarter
Not until we "win" and everything is in order
Conflict around every corner
 But they are here
They are there
They are everywhere
Those who strive to stop the crimes to which have been to turned a blind eye by the powers that be
But still they are outnumbered
Yet
They persist
Still
 In this world
Gone is the sense of equality
Fairness is fading
The trace of hope is leaving
Our liberty is sinking.

Great job! I like how you described the fading of equality in the end. I completely agree with you too.
