Prologue
The queen lay awake with a troubled thought on her mind -- the same thought that had been swirling around in her head every day for years. A few years ago, the queen had been worried about the fate of her child. Her husband was evil and the queen was worried that her child would be just as evil. She went to see a sorceress and asked about the fate of her child. The sorceress said there was only one way to keep her child from being evil; it was to never be able to have a child.
The queen said she would do whatever it takes to make sure the kingdom wouldn’t be ruled by more evil. The sorceress cast the spell on the queen. The thing that bothered the queen though is that she’s never told the king about the spell. The queen rolls over and shakes the king awake.
“This better be something important Roxy,” said the king still half asleep.
“This better be something important Roxy,” said the king still half asleep.
“This is important James. A few years ago a sorceress put a spe… I mean curse on me that I can never have a child; the curse can never be undone. What are we going to do James?” Roxy said trying to hide the fact that she actually wanted the spell to be cast upon her.
“Well, what we do is simple, we lock you up here for nine months. Then in nine months, I will go and steal a newborn baby for the village.”
“But James…”
“No buts Roxy, this is what is happening, now I’m going to sleep.”

The next nine months don’t go by fast for Roxy; she spent her time making a nursery in the room directly next to their bedroom. She spent all nine months in the nursery making it perfect for the baby. Every day Roxy told herself that when the nine months are over it will be well worth the wait.
On the day that the nine months is over, James sent one of his men to go into the village and made him pretend that he is doing a check to see how many babies were born that week. That week a sickness like the black plague was going around, but it only affected babies. The man was commanded to bring back one of the babies, so that it could heal. Of course the sickness was fake and so was the part about the baby healing. James made all of that up so that he could get a baby and have Roxy raise it as her own.
Later that day, the man came back with a baby. He said that the mother had given him both of them, but he said that he could only take one of them, king's orders.
“Good work, now you know too much,” James said.
“What do you mean sir?”
“I mean you have to die!”

“I mean you have to die!”
“Why? I did everything that you asked me to do sir.” James took the baby.
“When I get back you will die,” James said walking away; he took the baby up to his bedroom and the nursery for the baby.
“Here is the child, Roxy,” James said after closing the door behind him.
“Is it a boy or a girl?” asked Roxy walking out of the nursery.
“It’s a girl. Now I have a kingdom to run and someone to kill. This child will never see me again.”

“James, please be there for our little girl.”
“No Roxy, that is final, I am not going look after that thing. I am a man and a king, I have more important things to do then to look after a child.” James said angrily.
The baby started to cry; Roxy takes the baby from James.

“Fine, if you won’t be a part of her life, please at least name her.” Roxy said, rocking the baby back and forth. James started to walk out the door, he turned around.
“Her name is Fiona Young.” James turned back around and walked out the door.
