I was in for a breakaway. I looked at Herik Lundqvist in his eyes and gave him a glare, he still seemed confident. That's when I knew that was it. I tried to flick the puck unexpectedly to the left. He expected it.
" HONK!" The buzzer rang in my ears. The game was over.
I turned over to coach. He had a disappointed look on his face. We lost 1-2 against the New York Rangers. I could kiss our three win streak goodbye. Travis Zajac shook his head at me in disappointment. He had gotten the only goal of the game.
" It's ok," Smith-Pelly smiled wide with half of his teeth missing.
" Good game," Henrik snarled. I clenched my jaw and spit into his helmet. As I raced back to the locker room, I smiled a bit. ( More coming soon...)

I don't know sports to well, but I'm guessing this is hockey since his teeth are missing.😂😬
Nice! I can't wait to hear more. I love to read these sports stories.
I love the word choice of "snarled". Did that just come to you, or did you use a reference like that sheet I gave you with different ways to say "said", or maybe a thesaurus? I'm just curious. But whatever, t's just a super cool word!!
