The Third Wave Feminism Rant

Okay, so I have a VERY unpopular opinion in this school, you wanna hear it? Okay, here I go-feminism is not needed in the western world, whoa put your torches and pitchforks down! I have evidence!
The first thing I want to tackle is the gender wage gap. Long story short, it doesn't exist, long story long, here's why. The Equal Pay Act made it illegal to pay someone based on their gender. It was signed by J.F.K on June 10, 1963, according to the U.S.A Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

The Pay Gap exists because women tend to pick lower paying jobs, take more time off and are less likely to ask for a raise; here is a FEMALE HARVARD PROFESSOR debunking the wage gap.
Another, smaller complaint feminists have is man spreading. Really? There are women who can't go out of the house without a male guardian, can't go to school, get acid thrown in their face, and get stoned if she gets raped, but no, a man sitting comfortably is such a disaster! Alert the Media! Oh wait, you already did. And I don't see men complain about "bag spreading".
And women already have more rights than men, such as

1.) Women have the right to genital integrity.

2.) Women can vote without signing up for the draft

3.) Women get lower sentences for the same crime

4.) Women have the right to domestic violence shelters

Here's a link if you want to read more.

That concludes my right-leaning rant, now I know most people in this school are left-leaning, so debate me in the comments, I will reply. Please keep it civil.

I'm really triggered. Do I you have any proof woman have lower sentences for the same crime. I did, however, enjoy the list format for your writing.

You made some great points in this, but men can go to domestic violence shelters also. My sister is my source because she used to work at a shelter for D.V. and had some male clients.

Hm, that's weird. If you look up "domestic violence shelter programs" and tap on a link, you can see organizations like TESSA are most definitely geard twords women and don't look like they have men in mind at all; and I've heard of men getting rejected from abuse shelters.

Im not going to read the triggered people. Its been proven theres no wage gap. 3rd world feminists just go schreech at guys because they think there is a gap. Its been proven that there's no gap. And they are so hypocritical in this picture. People are like, "oh my god hes man spreading." Just ask and we will move its called bein comfortable god....

Actually in 2018 women will be required to sign up for the draft. I see your points. Women can be flirty and talk about men's features however when a man does the same about a woman he is a pervert, maybe neither should do that!

I have one thing and one thing to say, again burn the human race then we would be all equal. I actually seen the third one in action in a video about inappropriate student teacher relationships.

You have a few good points in this article. However, I do think there is still a wage gap in some fields. I have read numerous articles about it. Like in the acting community a man playing lead generally gets more than a woman playing the lead. Contrasting that I do agree with Al Park about people talking about 'features' and how there is more bias towards men and women are perceived as "flirty".

Well...this was interesting. I like how you shaped this piece. However, I'm not sure I agree with all of your points.

This makes me sooo fricken mad. Want to know why? This is why. Did you know that at this school I've seen girl be excluded from things just cause their a girl. I'm a guy on here, but in real life in a girl. Ok so I've actually had some say to me "you a girl so your going to be too weak." And "your a girl so you can't do something that a guy does." What the heck! Sexual separation is still a thing. It happens to me all the time. I really don't like what your saying. You don't really have any proof! Ugh!!!

This reminded me of a video some feminists did on man spreading. They tried to show people how horrible it was by doing it in public spaces. They where saying how completely horrible it is and how they felt like a the worst person is the world. But, they weren't even man spreading, they where straight up sitting across eight seats at a time.

This is a very interesting piece because it has divided (not so evenly) the group of classes that reads the blog. IRL people can be jerks. While I agree with C. Claw, on a lot of the things here (such as the man-spreading, wage gap, and a few of the other things) I don't know enough about a few of the subjects. The domestic violence shelter piece was one thing that I don't know how to feel about because I don't know enough. When could you do another one like this soon?

P.S. Jonathan. I don't agree with you, but I will give you a quote from Beatrice Hall. "I disagree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it."

I think that both sides will have evidence that is true and evidence that is false, but we are middle schoolers and may not know the whole truth. Most of us do not have real world experience and do not know first hand what is going on. This means we would have had to hear it or read it and many written or orally told statements are opinionated. We will not get anywhere if we believe everything we hear or read. We need to explore deeper and find out things for ourselves. I will not comment of any of the points you made because I have no idea whether they are true or not. I do think it was very brave to post your view on the issue so well done.

Ok. So, while I think I heard somewhere that women do get paid less than men, I sort-of, kind of not really maybe agree with you sort of. While it's ok for people to stand up for their rights, it's not ok for girls to get mad about something that just happened, and had nothing to do with their gender. Also, it pisses me off when boys say that they wont hit a girl because she's a girl. And then, if a girl does get hit, she might complain that it wasn't fair because SHES A GIRL. So, I'm not disagreeing with anyone, but if anyone really hates this post, then ok.

Anonymous and Emily R. Winter

The Equal Pay Act of 1963 made it illegal to pay someone based on their gender and it if someone violates this, they are subject to a 10,000 dollar fine at most. With all due respect, I gave you a link so I wouldn't have t describe it in the comments.

Johnathan.

From what you comment says, it seems you think sexual separation entails someone yelling a sexist thing at you. It doesn't. Just because a few rude guys said somthing to you once doesn't mean that's sexual segregation.

One more thing Johnathan.

I'm not 100% sure, but if you think you're being treated unfairly due to your gender, you can sue for gender discrimination.

Just so you know TESSA is an organization just for women so it's not surprising a man was turned away from them.
