I can't stop my leg from twitching
I can't stop the short breathing
But you say you can?
I can't stop my disgust from glancing
I can't stop the feelings from disappearing
But you say you can?
I can't stop my words from searching
I can't stop my tear from sliding
And you say you can?
How.

What made you think of this? Where you falling down a hill or the stairs?
I don't really understand this... what do you mean by, " and you say you can"? This just isn't making sense. I like the world choice for sure though!
I love this poem! There is a vulnerability throughout, and then a confident nudge in questioning the antagonist; i.e. the authority figures who write you off as young and emotional, with insensitive advice to just get over it. Young peoples' feelings are important and real. Thank you for sharing them with us.
