School rant

School. No.
                   I get it,
I get it, you want me to be smart, you want me to "learn". I don't care. I can learn in other ways besides a random person standing in front of me telling me how to be a good human. Eww. I can just learn on my own. They say," Oh, school will help you be social." I'm pretty sure I can talk and make friends without going to school. So school, please. Go away.

I wouldn't say that I hate school as a whole, because I just hate certain parts of it. I wish we could just learn the essentials. I'm still waiting for the day I'll actually use algebra in real life...

I like school...I guess I'm a nerd though.

I really do like school, and I'm not really looking forward to summer. Sigh.

I can relate to this. I like certain classes, but some I am just plain miserable in.

I completely understand your point, but I don't fully agree. I do agree with Gray though. We should just learn the essentials. When is stuff like knowing each and every part of a cell going to come in handy in the real world. Unless your a scientist, then goood for you.

I agree with most of this. School is suppose to "help" us learn, and it does! But nothing we will use...
School just tries to help us get the fundamentals, useless as they may seem, you never know what you may want to do later in life!

I agree with some of this post but others I don't quite understand. School teaches some things that yes, you probably won't use later on in life, but that all depends on the career path you choose to take on. We should learn the essentials, and go into the specifics later in college. Teachers don't tell you to be a better person most of the time, they are there to, well, teach. That's what they are here for. Some teachers you leave the classroom thinking and wanting to change the world and other times you are just pounded with the facts. Teachers don't force you to be something your not, they guide you along the right path. I think people are against school because they choose not to care ( not going against anyone). Just think about this, most of your friends are probably from school, so yes school does help you socialize. School clubs can help you take on your passions, and meet others who wish the same later on in life. This turned out to be longer than I wanted, but I just think maybe sometimes people take education for granted.

Yes I agree. "Well, my tire popped in the middle of the Mojave Desert. BUT AT LEAST I KNOW WHAT THE SQUARE ROOT OF 457 IS."
